4/11/2023 0 Comments Handy note mechagonTo everyone who is having trouble looting some fish. For the Tortollan Tank Deweller, I was only able to catch it once I was in the very specific sub-zone (where the name changes above the minimap).įor those suffering from woeful luck with the rarer fish, like the Thin Air Flounder, this was discovered by Asmundr. Note: With the exception of the Tank Deweller (Fish 19) if a specific sub-zone is given, these are just confirmed locations and are not the only locations within the zones where they can be caught. Drowned Goldfish - Drowned Lands (46, 50) in Stormsong Valley. Well Lurker - Mount Hyjal, in the lake under Nordassil.Ģ2. Thin Air Flounder - Neverest Pinnacle (44, 52) in Kun-Lai Summit. Tortollan Tank Dweller - Drustvar, under Anyport in the underwater Tortollan bar called 'The Drunk Tank'.Ģ0. Dead Fel Bone - Argus, Krokuun and Antoran Wastes. Anywhere in the zone, the bridge that connects the two islands is a great place for this one, just make sure you're on the PvP area side of it (check minimap).ġ8. Kirin Tor Clown - Dalaran (Broken Isles/Northrend).ġ5. Thunderous Flounder - Isle of Thunder.ġ2. Rotted Blood Cod - Nazmir, Zul'Nazman.ġ1. These fish can only be caught in specific zones and sometimes even in very specific areas within zones.ĩ. Stand on the edge of the island and the fish will spawn in an arc around your character, shown here in green (Dalaran island used for an example): If you're still missing these after you catch the others, the best places to catch these are on the floating islands, like the ones scattered around Outland Nagrand (45.9, 59.9). These fish can be caught anywhere at any time of the day, save these lot for last as you'll probably get most if not all of them hunting the others. I've split the fish into different catergories. !! This works in groups! Everyone can see and share each others fish spawns, effectively increasing the spawn rate. The fish can be clicked while mounted, you do not need to be in water for it to spawn and it will spawn every 25-30 seconds.īest way to do this is find a spot that is flat and with few surrounding objects (trees, rocks, etc) and just spin your camera around until you see the bubble.Įach time you click the puffer you'll be given a random fish, most of the time it will be the white "junk" fish for whichever area you're in as well as the occasional grey item, with the exception of Dalaran where you'll commonly get coins usually caught from the eventide fountains.Ĭatchrate is quite low for many of these so expect to spend a fair amount of time for this. If you have sound on you'll hear bubbles when it spawns then 10-15 seconds later the fish will become visible at which point you'll be able to click it. With the Secret Fish Goggles buff applied a small fish in a bubble will spawn somewhere within 40 yards of you. Oddly enough part 2, Secret Fish and Where to Find Them, doesn't actually involve any fishing. Extra goggles can be bought from Danielle should you lose the original pair. Once you've caught all 10 and shown them to Danielle you'll be given the Secret Fish Goggles. It's best to view the map for the locations but alternatively here are X,Y coordinates for each. These 3 fish can be caught near Danielle, though its likely they can be caught anywhere along the coast of the island.Įach of these fish can only be caught within a specific area of the island. Danielle Anglers can be found at the coastal fish marker. Note: Below are confirmed locations and are not the only locations where they can be caught.īelow is a map showing the location where each fish can be caught. Should the quest fail to auto-accept for any reason you can simply right click the fish from your inventory to start it. Once caught you'll auto-accept a quest to show the fish to Danielle Anglers, who is also on the island. You do not need max Kul'tiran/Zanadalari fishing. The catch rates are quite low (~1%) so expect to spend a fair amount of time fishing. In this short guide I'll walk through where to find and catch each of the secret fish impletemented in patch 8.2.Īll of the fish for part 1 of this series can be caught within Mechagon.
